More details have emerged about the ordeal of Mrs. Amina Rabe, widow of retired Major General Rabe Abubakar, following her release from bandits’ captivity after the death of her husband.<\/p>\n

According to a report by Daily Trust on Saturday, June 20, 2026, a source who spoke with Mrs. Rabe recounted how she was eventually rescued after spending time in captivity with the armed group that had abducted them.<\/p>\n

The source said Mrs. Rabe disclosed that the situation changed dramatically after the death of her husband while they were still being held by the bandits. According to the account, the abductors became alarmed following General Rabe’s death and quickly began making arrangements to relocate from their hideout.<\/p>\n

The source stated that the armed group feared that security forces might be closing in on their position and decided to move deeper into the forest with their remaining captive.<\/p>\n
