Kidney health is very important for overall well-being. Many people are now turning to simple home remedies to support their kidneys. One common household ingredient that is gaining attention is baking soda (sodium bicarbonate).
Baking soda may help reduce the acid load on the kidneys. When the body produces too much acid, the kidneys have to work harder. Baking soda can help neutralise this acid and make it easier for the kidneys to function properly. It is also believed to help reduce the buildup of toxins like phosphorus and nitrogen.
Simple Method:
Start with half a teaspoon of baking soda. Let it dissolve slowly in your mouth.
Once you get used to it, you can mix half a teaspoon of baking soda (and a pinch of salt if desired) in a litre of water.
Drink this mixture daily.
This remedy has been used for generations and may help support kidney function. However, it is not a cure for kidney disease.
Important Note:
Always consult your doctor before trying any home remedy, especially if you have kidney problems or are on medication. Self-treatment can sometimes cause more harm than good.
